Air India is set to enhance the travel experience between Delhi and London Heathrow with the introduction of its new Airbus A350-900 aircraft starting September 1st. The airline will operate two daily flights on this route, marking a significant upgrade for passengers.
The A350-900 will replace the existing Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on most weekly flights, representing a major step in Air India's commitment to modernising its fleet and offering a world-class travel experience. This move will result in 90% of Air India's flights to London Heathrow featuring upgraded aircraft and cabin interiors.
A New Era of Comfort and Convenience
Campbell Wilson, Air India's CEO & Managing Director, emphasised the importance of this development, stating, "This demonstrates our commitment to elevating the travel experience for our passengers to truly world-class standards."
The introduction of the A350-900 also marks the debut of Premium Economy class on the Delhi-London Heathrow route. Passengers can now choose from 24 spacious seats in a dedicated cabin, offering enhanced comfort and amenities.
Upgraded Amenities and Enhanced Experience
"With our industry-leading cabin features on the A350, including a brand new Premium Economy experience and a host of other onboard enhancements being rolled out, we are confident that these daily flights between India and London Heathrow will soon become the preferred choice for travellers," Wilson added.
In addition to the new aircraft and cabin class, Air India's A350 flights will also feature updated amenities, including new chinaware, tableware, glassware, bedding, and enhanced amenity kits for Business Class and Premium Economy passengers.
This latest move by Air India reflects the airline's ongoing efforts to improve its services and cater to the evolving needs of its customers, solidifying its position as a leading player in the aviation industry.
